Brugge

Once a 13th-century cloth making centre, Bruges (Brugge) may have become a major tourist destination, but its wealth of wandering canals and ornate houses, plus the city's medieval charm, remains. The historic centre pedestrian-only streets bristle with Gothic spires and flourishes. Brugge has a wealth of beer. There are breweries, excellent bottle shops and comfortable bars, as well as a museum dedicated to the medieval style of beer called gruit, made without hops and flavoured with a variety of herbs.

Brussels

Brussels is a lively capital city and boasts some excellent bars and pubs serving the broad range of strong Belgian beers and great food.

Antwerp

Antwerp is an old port town with a great nightlife, ideal for a lively senior or university sports teams. The city centre is fairly small with the Grote Markt packed full of pubs including a great Irish bar 'The Irish Times'. Schoenmarkt is one of the best shopping streets in Europe with plenty of stores to keep everyone happy. Antwerp is the perfect place for a sports tour with a lively bunch.
